The MTP®-12 to 2 x MTP®-4 APC (Female) OM4 cable is a multimode, 4-channel-to-two 2-channel splitter fiber cable, which uses 8 active fibers to transmit light and 4 inactive fibers as strength members. The APC end has an 8-degree polished angle to deflect internal optical back reflections from entering the transceiver and distorting the signal quality.
Using two MTP®-12 APC to 2 x MTP®-4 APC breakout cables can link an 800G NVIDIA InfiniBand twin-port OSFP transceiver to four 400G NVIDIA InfiniBand OSFP/QSFP112 transceivers in data center high-speed fiber links. And, only two channels are activated when 400Gb/s transceivers are used with the 1:2 breakout cables, creating a 200Gb/s transceiver. Compared to purchasing and installing separate breakout cassettes, using MTP® breakout cables is more cost-effective and lower-loss.
Features
Superior Workmanship Guarantees Stable Transmission
Bend insensitive fiber paired with high-performance US Conec MTP® connectors delivers reliable connectivity for dense data center and carrier-grade applications.
The APC end features an 8-degree polished angle to minimize optical reflections and distort the signal quality, meeting the stringent optical surface requirements of IB NDR transceivers.
Fire Safety-Rated in Different Cabling Spaces
OFNR/LSZH combats fire and toxic smoke in riser pathways, while OFNP is designed to prevent flame spread in oxygen-rich plenum spaces.
